    • Changes in grooming (over-grooming or a scruffy coat)
    • Irritability, aggression, or withdrawal
    • Changes in appetite or litter tray habits
    • Excessive weight loss

    Subtle movement changes matter

    Cats in pain may:

    • Take longer to lie down or stand up
    • Sit with a hunched posture
    • Hesitate before jumping or stop jumping all together
    • Land heavily or awkwardly after jumps

    What is a cruciate ligament?

    The cruciate ligament (similar to the ACL in humans) helps stabilise your dog’s knee (stifle). When it’s damaged or ruptured, the knee becomes unstable, painful, and prone to arthritis if left untreated.
